McHugh (Simuflight) has just been issued an update to their long standing wing extension for the Republic Seabee.

This update moves the flaps and the ailerons out board sixteen inches and adds a "plug" at the wing root.  This is a significant low speed performance enhancement for our wing extension kit.  By moving the flaps and ailerons outboard and added the "plug" we have cleaned up he airflow into the prop during partial and full flap configurations.  Flight testing with our test pilot and the FAA confirmed that this eliminates all adverse handing in a full or partial flap configuration.  Our test pilot indicated that he was unable to find an unstable flight condition with this modification.

McHugh Aviation will now include the upgrade with all new wing extension kits and will make a kit available to existing customers to upgrade their current installation.
